Abstract

Some of the best news to come aut of Ivan Duque´s first year in office as President of colombia is the revaping of offshore exploration in the country. it is important to note that it had been over fíve years since hydrocarbon Exploration and Production (E&P) contracts (onshore ar offshore) had been signed, and that the scarce pre-existing contracts (al/ under TEA mode) to explore Caribbean waters had become partially stagnant due to various unappealing terms to porties partaking in said contracts.
