Abstract

lt is of special interest to present in this article the combination of different bioecological methods with the underwater video as a work tool to augment the efficiency in each one of them. Basically this information is centred in the way how underwater video has been used for the acquisition of information as scientific note of the coral etructures, combining the chain linear interception method with the video transects which are quantified in monitor displays or with the aid of multimedia sistems. Right now the main purpose of this scientific note is lo document and advice the interested persons in the way and recomendations of how to use this methods in other studies in a more technical and objetive way to extract the information of the marine bottom if the conditions of the equipment and the disponibility of the equipment will permit.
