Abstract
Colombia is mainly represented by women; Of the 50 million Colombians tha live in the country, approximately 51,2% belong to this gender, according to figures from the last census conducted by the National Administrative Department of Statistics ( ar DANE in Spanish) in Ju/y 2019. However, this figure is not we/1 represented in the contribution that women make in the maritime sector, since their presence is minimal. Although we hove outstanding women in different disciplines such as the social sciences, it is important to open spaces in the maritime sector so that those who hove made the sea their way of life, contribute to the strengthening of the integral maritime, river, environmental, and port security of the country.
