Abstract

During the last years, CIOH has developed numerical models to visualize the marine environment conditions and dynamics of the Caribbean coast. This effort has yield to stating possible solutions to the problems observed in different seawater bodies: bays, gulfs. The good reslts obtained in the diagnosis of the conditions observed during the 80's and 90's in Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta were possible thanks to the application of this numerical modeling technique.
