Abstract
This paper present the results of the work that was conducted in Pacific Pollution Center (CCCP). The Coastal Zone to San Andres of Tumaco has been afected progressively in the last 40 years modifying his morphology and the way of life of their inhabitants. The purpose of that work is to identify the sectors that they have suffered this process and causes and effects on the population and his territory. The results evidenced that the coastal zone of Tumaco has been impacted by frequent and continuous erosion sedimentation processes caused by diverse factors such as, the sedimentary contribution of the main rivers (Mira and Patía) and the dynamics of the surge that transports his sedimentary loads. Other physical events to be considered are the Tsunamis of 1958 and 1979 and the ENSO 1982/83 and 97/98. In'this way, five are the sectors that they have been mostly affected: the islands of Bocagrande and Vaquería, Guano, Viciosa and Tumaco, the island of the Morro, and the coastal sector of San Juan Village and Pasacaballos.
