Abstract
The present work made for the first time with data of sea temperature specifically of the Colombian Pacific Ocean, presents the space and temporary distribution of the heat content of the active layer in this region. The used methodology was the analysis of the annual behavior of the temperatura in representative stations of the investigation area. It was obtained that the annual oscillations of temperature in the study area show two maximums and two minimums: december and june of heating, and march and september of cooling which shows the influence of the displacement of the Intertropical convergence zona, ITCZ. As far as the thickness of the active layer in the Colombian Pacific was that this one varies between the 150 -200 meters in the zonas near the coast and between 200 -300 meters in oceanic zones. Fluctuation depends on the displacement of the atmospheric processes in each observad zona
