Abstract

Sedimentologic studies show that sands of Bocagrande and Manzanillo areas are distinctly different: - Quartzitic gray sand in Bocagrande. - Calcareous sand in Manzanillo. These findings are used to show that the erosion of beaches in Manzanillo have probably no relation with breakwaters in Bocagrande beaches
